Using DSS Player Pro doesn't work very well for the manual transcribing I do, in particularly there is no hotkey for ffw and rwd while inside a recording (I know about f4, but that's not the same thing. When a device uses this feature, you are going to have to check if the converter is present, and download/install it, if it is not. Then, have your web PHP or JavaScript invoke the converter for each file the user selects from a list (if you are tackling this, I assume you have those skills). I would recommend evaluating a few batch-mode converters, and picking one that is free, effective, runs on multiple platforms, and is decently supported. The alternative converter to a “software converter” is going to be a “hardware converter”, and they can be tricky to download.
